About

After Kyle's "round the world" trip in 2005 he moved from Kent to London in 2006 and graduated with a 2:1 from Trinity Laban dance school in 2009, training as a Contemporary and Ballet dancer. While training, Kyle began experimenting with photography. This self taught approach gradually flourished into a career as a freelance dance photographer and has recently secured the role of Trinity Laban Resident Photographer working closely with the Communications and Marketing departments. Upon graduating Kyle was awarded the Sylvia Bodmer Award for Outstanding Achievement in Choreological Studies for his experimental photographic dissertation piece exploring the accumulation of time, space and one's kinesphere, which received a 1st class grade.

While developing his freelance career, Kyle also progressed into film, specialising in dance. This has been inspired by his hands on experience as a freelance Runner on music videos and commercials since September 2009. Absorbing these vast array of experiences has and continues to influence how he works, applying them in a creative, productive and professional manner.

Kyle is inspired by the ability to communicate with the people he works alongside, with a shared level of understanding and passion to create the highest quality of work. He understands the importance of working as a freelance individual, as well as appreciating how essential a team environment is to achieving collaborative success.

Professional work experience includes: Trinity Laban, English National Ballet, Sadlers Wells, Council for Dance Education and Training, E4 Misfits, Gloucestershire Dance, X Factor, XBox: Kylie Minogue, Cheryl Cole, Florence and The Machine, Choreographers Kay&Queen, National Dance Awards and Kinisi Dance Company.

Since 2005 Kyle has also worked as a professional 'Fire Spinning' performer; with Poi, Staff and Fire Snakes. See the me gallery for examples of him at work.
